A lot (most) of those groups are already on the ipod. It's real easy to load in the truck for the G2G. In fact, it will be in the truck. What is nice it has a shuffle button. Can't be too loud, remember there is quiet time.

My dang truck doesn't have speakers or a radio. Guess it's gonna be earphones if we do show up.

Any and all of those are nice to travel by or clean the house ~ But if I'm reading or studying I tone it WAY down... Something cool and jazzy... Like Kenny G or Billie Holiday... Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Henry Mancini are favs to listen to at work... My brother used to call me "The AM Kid" when I was young because I never cared for the harder stuff on the FM dial. Guess I never outgrew it!

Shoot. I forgot Jack Johnson. Just got a new computer (among the 18 I had already)

Jack Johnson is Boss Hog (not Boss as in Springsteen)

Had some Billie Holiday, great voice but didn't do it for me. Kenny G I loathe (sorry)

John Mayer is cool. Don't know Mancini.

Side note- CCR still rules. Just downloaded the discovery so I have 1 gig of CCR I am listening to.

Funny... Many people do loathe him. Must be his politics or maybe his looks? I don't know... I just love the sax! Bruce Springstein (sp?) is one I can't look at! Some of his song are OK, as long as I don't have to see him singing!

LOL

Remember I came from Jersey so I guess I have to give the Boss his due.

Wasn't about the looks... I'm not pretty. For Kenny G it's more of a lack of soul to me. Ornette Coleman, Earl Bostic, Lee Allen were some great sax players. Trumpeter Miles Davis (kind of blue) and John Coltrane's sax are beautiful together.

I always felt like Kenney G was "trying" whereas the duo flowed as if it was what they were born for.

Yeah, I know what you mean... Boots Randolph plays a pretty mean sax too! Nick (nighthawk) has three and I used to make him play for me while I cooked his meals. If he quit playing, I quit cooking, and you know how teenage boys like their food! Ha! Ha! I was sarenaded every weekend! He got really good, then left for college... I don't suppose he plays too much anymore since he's there and they're here...

I was a little confused to that and another post. Are you reffering to Coleman Hawkins or our nighthawk? Because in a certain post, don't remember which one, it seemed like you two knew each other.

Don't mind me... I am already seeing illusions on my own. Has been a bad week.

Did you ever try the "Black Eyed Peas". I know most kids think they are cheesy now but I used to listen to them when I lifted weights. I think they kick butt. It has rap but not the bad kind. No "gangsta" stuff. Matter of fact they really dislike the disrespect of women and the constant push towards violence.

Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings:

Cowboys ain't easy to love and they're harder to hold
And they'd rather give you a song then diamonds or gold
Lonestar belt buckles and old faded Levi's each night begins a new day
And if you don't understand him and he don't die young
He'll probly just ride away
Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys
Don't let 'em pick guitars and drive them old trucks
Make 'em be doctors and lawyers and such
Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys
They'll never stay home and they're always alone
Even with someone they love
Cowboys like smokey old pool rooms and clear mountian moringin's
Little warm puppies and children and girls of the night
And them that don't know him won't like him
And them that do sometimes won't know how to take him
He ain't wrong he's just different
but his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right
Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys
Don't let 'em pick guitars and drive them old trucks
Make 'em be doctors and lawyers and such
Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys
They'll never stay home and they're always alone
Even with someone they love
Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys
Don't let 'em pick guitars and drive them old trucks
Make 'em be doctors and lawyers and such

WTF mate??? Where have I been?

nighthawk has had some good info for me.

Now I'm totally lost. Funny, I cand do advance calculus and physics but I can't keep track of who is and who did. So nighthawk is young then. He seems much older on the forums.

He was born old and knowledgeable! Ha! Ha! Yeah, he's 19 going on 45! Skipped two years in school and graduated high school at 16. He just finished his third year at EOU ~ Comes home Friday! Whoo Hoo! It'll be nice to see his stuff in his room again, even though he's not gonna be there much ~ little work-a-holic! I'm quite proud of him ~ he's really got it together!

That seems like a great life with your boy and everything.

Emmy and I are trying for a little one now. It's been difficult... maybe stress. We all have older children (not including nighthawk, seems like a grown man (now I feel like I'm writing code or algebra 105. Phew.... I think we may go to the Doctor's in a bit)) .

Right On! That would be so cool! A little Emmy~John running around!

I know what you mean with all the brackets (feeling like code (or algebra))! I quit using brackets and started using the squiggle ~ have used the squiggle for years! But then in my coding classes I learned that the squiggle is a destroyer! I guess when I sign something, I'm destroying it! Ha! Ha!

I''ll admit eventhough they are not played very much, I do have Kenny G and Yanni on the ipod.
