Bought myself a bronco

Well guys, I signed up to this site a little bit ago for my 54 F100 that I'm restoring but Sunday I bought myself a 79 Bronco. 460, 9" posi rear end, dana 44 up front, lift, 37s. It's a fun little truck

Looks like a good big truck. How much did you pay? If you don't mind.

I usually don't like broncos quite as much and trucks in that era (probably shouldn't be saying that in the bronco section) but i definitely could see myself driving that one just as much as my truck..

p.s. thats one mean looking dog

Nice find! tough to find the 460 and solid axles...they surely built them sturdy! No rust? How much coin?

no rust at all.
the previous owner only had the truck for two months and didn't know much about it, he didn't meantion any gears or lockers. (and this is my first 4x4, couldn't tell ya )

and the kid that owned it last had lost his job and was desperate for money, I got it for $990. It runs great, starts up every time without any hesitation.

you got that for 990????? OMG!!!!

well done mystro....

What a deal...i'm sooo jelouse. really!

The '79 bronco is the best of the best. I had one with a well built 429 that rocked my world...now i have a rusted out worn out '79 that will someday rock it too.

The bronco turns on a dime, ride very well when set up right and is good for most all worthy endeavors. In some markets a rust free 79 that runs well and updated is worth 10 times what you paid for it. Not a bad investment imo. You must have some good mojo working in your life.

Trade you my '78 with lots of rust and more mud and give you $100 extra. LOL. Nice looking truck and it was a steal.

it looks like it's ready to be finished. Some decent body work and paint. then protect the interior panels to ward off rust.

I'm considering using zink plates like they do for marine applicaitons...metal basically cant rust.

You don't like Bronco's and trucks in that era but yet you own a 79 250? Am I missing something here?

Nice find on the Bronco.

I think he meant he doesn't like bronco's as much as the trucks in that era.

Very nice rig, and you really did steal that BKO. Welcome to the joys of owing a FSB
