R.I.P. "Mr. Wizard"

Don Herbert died today in Los Angeles of bone cancer. He was 89.

Wow...there's a blast from the past. I loved his TV show back in the late '80s. You'll be missed, Mr. Wizard.

Man, I grew up on that show. He was on a local radio station in Los Angeles on his birthday about 4 years ago, I can't remember all that was said, but he did seem like a really good guy.

RIP. What a shame he had to go

Hmmm, was listening to the Coast to Coast radio show last night and he was on. Either it was his ghost or they were doing a rerun.

You can probably find the audio file on their website. Yeah just looked, the recap can be found at...

This is one of those shows I listened to as background when I am sleeping so I don't remember a lot of the details on this particular one but grogilly heard some of it.

the guy that used to have the show where he would work with kids on basic scientific ideas

It used to be on in the early morning on the weekends. The show originally aired in the 60's. He always had two whiz kids on helping him with basic scientific experiments.
