Step Bumper - Towing Capacity

My 1995 F-150 2wd has the original step bumper on it and no where does it say the max. towing capacity on it. Does anyone know what it’s rated for?

Do you have an owners manual? It lists it in there.
Would need to know if you have an auto or manual and what size engine to look it up.

I think mine says 500 tung wait and 5000 trailer. but dont do it they are not safe fr more than a small utility trailer and your hitch height will be wrong any way. go to a junk yard and buy a good receiver hitch for 20 bucks.

My manual say 500lb tongue, 5000lb trailer for the stock step bumper.

That's alot of weight. I've been thinking about getting a hitch for my truck (have one on my bronco...but I bought it that way) but if you can pull that much with it I'm not going to worry about it.
