5.4L 2006 Pinging when I start
Hi guys, I have a 2006, Blue F-150 XLT XTR (chrome side steps and 18" wheels and re-enforced undercaridge) Crew Cab, short box, 22,000 km on it. Running the truck on regular gas.
My first Ford Truck, love the truck but hate to start it up.....
Lets say that 1/20 times I start the truck, it start like the new Mustang Shelby GT500 and the 19/20 times likes a 1906 Ford Truck.
Went to the dealer and he had me start an other 2006 and it did the same, he told me that this appears to be normal !!
To him but not to me !!!
I've search the forum for info but did'nt find nothing, don't want to muscle up the truck, just leave it original but at least give me a good start. That would help enjoy better the ride.

Hey ! Irappl your were right.... the color mattered and ad my truck in for a change of color !!!!
But the color problem was not the blue it was the yellow.....
I switch gas from regular (yellow) to super (red) !!!
Red is good and my truck loves it.
