has anyone gotten this to work with diablo....

diablo has tried over and over to get me a program that can recal my speedo.... i believe i have had it back five times!

unfortunatly, while i love the chip and what it did for my truck.... i am sending this thing back because the speedo recal was one of my primary reasons for getting it.

ken.... does superchips have any better luck with this?

 

What's your code? Also, have they been giving you a custom program sheet to sign and send to Diablo or is the dealer just doing a hit and miss approach. I've never had problems with Dialo getting a bad calibration, at least not more than once (same goes for Superchips).

Let me know your code and I'll tell you what we can do with a Superchips chip.

let me know, i think i am going to send my chip back to this guy since he is starting to play games with me (weird as he was soooooo customer service orientated at first???). all and all if i get a full refund, it will still have cost me $40 plus in the shipping costs sending it back to him time and time again?

i love the chip and what it does, but the main reason i got it was to fix my speedo... and it hasn't happened? i could have gone the truspeed route, but figured a couple hundred extra would be worth the nice hard and firm shifts (love them) and extra throttle response (love that too)... as for hp/torque... too little to tell with the V10 and all them gas milage claims... out the door cause it is too much fun to drive the truck a bit harder

and one othe rquestion for ya ken.... the transmission valve, is that available for the V10 or only the PSD?

Here's what I do... in most cases I simply submit the tire or gear size change to Diablo. If (and its a rare if) the code Diablo gives doesn't calibrate well, then I fax a custom sheet to the customer. This sheet requests the tire size, gear ratio plus how far off the speedo is (example: 50 mph when it should read 60 mph). I'm surprised he didn't give it to you after the first attempt.

I've looked at both Superchips and Diablo, can't find WGF2 as a code. Did he do a "read" of your computer in order to produce your chip? He should give a full refund per Diablo's policy, shipping is up to him depending on his policy and circumstances.

Does it do anything for the speedo or leave it untouched?

Actually, it works with all the F150's, V10's, PSD, etc. Its advertised for the Lightning and Powerstroke because although it helps with all applications, it benefits the Lightning and Powerstroke the most.

he had to do the read for my comp.... i do hope i get the full refund!
