Kevin---you are the ''man''----Frank did a nice job on the welding and it sure fills out the truck---I will see you over the weekend and call me after your 1st cruise on highway. Let me know if it rolls smoother now with the bed on---get a scale weight too. I bet that truck weighs 9-12,000......My 56F600 with grain bed weighed 9000--and that wrecker weighs more. I have the matching cab(56) almost ready for epoxy--maybe this Fri.......Later and put some miles on the wrecker, dude!!!!Drive up to my place.---Bill/Terri
Wow, is that a cool truck. I've been waiting about 8 months for my old truck (re-built motor) to be finished. I'm gettin ancy!!! Maybe I should hire you to tow it some where else!
The ride is much better now. It beat me up before. It really needed the weight on the back. I took it out for about 10 miles tonight. I will have it logo'd on Thursday. I am putting a leaping tiger on the doors in black, and in orange I will put "We're pulling for you". My dad came up with that one. I am not sure how to pay tribute to him yet, but I will keep thinking!
Kevin---come to my place and hook up the 56 F600 red truck and tow it around---it would look great--and maybe not as good as an old chevy or dodge-haha!!!!I like ALL trucks --but that would be funny---Your Dad would love the way you pulled together and got the truck finished--even through all the adversity!!!! So it drives better now??Bill
Kevin,
The truck is looking great! I don't know how you get so much done so fast!
I could have used it last night as I moved the '54 into the barn. It's a challenge with two front tires that won't hold air for more than a minute and the steering column/box is buried among all the parts stuck in the cab!
I will be tire blacking the tires this afternoon. I am going to move the bed closer. I think I can hook a come along up and put it forward slowly to get the position correct. I may have to wait till next week to do that. I only have to bolts in it right now so it no big deal. I was going to put the rest in today. I may still. I want to get the head liner installed and the window out. today. Hopefully I can get the front window in Thursday. We'll see. He has not been real helpfull!
