Help -Diff, Fluid change
Hey guys - Im changing my diff fluid and puttin on my new alum. diff cover. How do you know if I have limited slip or not? I bought the xl-3 additive but now Im not sure weather to put it in or not. Read somewhere to add 2 oz. then try it before adding the other 2 oz. I bought the Motorcraft 75W-140 syn. lubricant. My truck is a 2wd - 2002 - F-250. New cover looks sharp. I'll get some pics when Im all finished. Thanks, Bill

Easiest way, is to jack up the truck from the punkin (middle section) and with both tires off the ground, and it in park, try to spin the tire. If its difficult, or not possible, then you have a limited slip, if immediately the other tire spins the other way, you have an open differential.
