valve cover leakage
For those with valve covers that just seep a little oil out. How do you keep it from seeping? Simple as cleaning mating surfaces? Or some sort of sealant? Any good ideas?

Be very careful when applying it but use a small amount of silicone lubricant. The stuff is sticky so wear some rubber gloves while applying to the gasket. Simply squeeze some in your hand and work it into the entire gasket. This not only helps for a properly aligned seal but also protects the integrity of the gasket. Make sure not to use to much though. Bringing the gasket texture to a slick feeling is all you need.
