Ford 9 inch question
I pulled a 31 spline 9 inch out of the junkyard out of an 81 F100 2wd. When I got it home I realized the lug pattern was 5 x 4.5, something I didn't even know they did on full size trucks. Does anyone know if I go get 31 spline 5 x 5.5 axles will they slide right in?

There are atleast two different bearings, big and small. And I believe they do make a difference in axle shaft selection, but not sure. If the axle flanges look and measure the same, then yes the axle should slide right in. My 31 spline was a big bearing.
