Need help quick

Alright here it goes. The other day(Less than a week ago) I replaced the batteries in my 02 diesel. Today I went to start the truck this morning and nothing. Speedo flips all the way to 100 and then back. I checked the codes and it was glow plug circuit error and cam position sensor. I cleared the codes and tried restarting truck. Got nothing. checked codes again nothing. I repalced the cps about 10,000 miles ago. Is it the cps already. Could the alternator going bad drain the batteries in less than a week. Please help I gotta use my truck for work.

Thanks in advance

Oh and the last time I drove it, it didn't seem like when the cps went out before with the sputtering and engine cut out.

Doesn't sound like the CPS to me. I think it is straight battery/charging problem. Check your cables at the batteries and where they hook to the alternator, starter and especially the ground connections.

Alright I tried jumping the truck and it started up fine. So I am assuming it is the alternator. Or does anyone else have any idea's. Thanks
