The South-west - Cali, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado (at this stage)

Thanks for the offer bf250, but I don't think I will be making it across that far unfortunately.
As for why I chose the US, only ever been there before once, and it was very brief - really interested to see what its like for a little bit longer.

Well, Fred, should you happen to make it east...I'm in Indiana, and I'd take you to a good local brew-pub. They brew their own, and I'm sure you'd be able to go back to your mates and dispel the myth that there is no good beer in the States.

I'm moving in a couple weeks after 11 years in one place, and I would actually have room to host someone, so if you need to crash for a night or two, you'd be more than welcome.

Enjoy your stay Stateside!

Jason

Congrats on reaching 10K. Who knows, you might catch Dennis' total one of these days. Probably about the time he cracks 100K in the post department.

Welcome to the United States, as well. Enjoy your stay!

The desert states in the middle of summer...you must like the heat Depending on where you go in Colorado, you might be able to really get up there in elevation. They have some really high mountains.

Ah...Thoes are the ugly parts of the US. Come on over to the Mid-Atlantic and New England to see what you're missing out on

Well you certainly got me with that one!

The SouthWest is a fine area of the US of A to visit, though it can be a little on the warm side this time of year. Make sure you visit the North rim of the Grand Canyon, it's an amazing site to see. The Redwoods are also a spectacular site.

Cheers!
