i have a 1997 f350 with a 351W. its the old bodystyle truck. i was looking at some headers, becuase my passenger side manifold is leaking. i was gonna order some hooker supercomps from JetHot, but theyre $680. i found some pacesetters ceramic coated for $300. anyone ever tried em out? im all about volume and ill take any horsepower i can get. in all around comparison, would you pay the extra for the hookers, or go with pacesetters? i do alot of mudding, and i want them to last. whaddya think?
I got a Pacesetter longtube for a four cylinder car I had years ago, my only complaint was the oddball 2-bolt collector flange they use, instead of the 3-bolt flange everyone else uses. Other than that, they seem to be decent quality.
BTW don't count on ceramic coating to last, my brother put some Dynomax ceramic coated longtubes on his '84 F-150, and after a year the ceramic coating had fallen off most of the bottom tubes of the headers (near the collectors).
theyre shorties. the hooker super comps are shorties too. i saw your reply in that other thread. theyre ceramic coated shorties for 680 shipped. im gonna need the ceramic coating to last, cause i do alot of mudding and 9 out of 10 times, my headers are coated in mud. i think im gonna go with the hooker super comps, i guess ya get what ya pay for, right?
