I have done enough little things to improve the looks of my truck I am actually starting to get compliments on it. Needless to say, that makes me want to do more. It came from the factory as a plain jane work truck, so the front bumper is that dull silver/grey color.
I want to paint the front bumper. It is easier to do if I take it off the truck. I removed the rear bumper in order to paint it, and things worked out well. The problem is that airbags make me nervous, and I would hate to either set them off while removing / installing the bumper or damage the sensors in some way.
Is there something special I need to be aware of when do this, or am I just paranoid?
Disconnect your battery for at least 30 minutes before removing the bumper, then have no worries, just take your time and watch out for the electronics if they happen to be in that area.
