im having some problems woth my 90 f250 the rear fuel pump is not working, ive replaced the fuel pump and sending unit. but when i change tanks to the rear my truck dies then i re start it on the back tank it runs for a second and dies again. im getting power at the sending unit at the tank selector switch the relay was replaced any more idies that might help?....... ohh bye the way the truck has a 351w aaod i belive 4x4 and the fuel pumps are in the tank no 3rd pump so i assume that they are both HP pumps.
You either have a bad fuel tank selector switch (most likely), bad wiring and plugs to the tank or you put in a bad fuel pump or did not splice the wires in the tank right.
The fuel pump relay would have no bearing on this problem.
The fuel pump and gauge use the same ground at the radiator support.
yea i checked the wiring its good the pump turns on when i put a diff power lead to the connector. im think that the parts store gave me a low press pump insted of the HP one but ill check all the other goodies first.
