fair price for solid front axle

I have a 84 FSB and I would like to lift the thing.
What would be a fair price to pay for used front end parts to replace the TTB parts. I would like to lift the truck 8 inches and run 36 inch tires.
I will add leafs to the rear, it will not be a daily driver, but I do want to make it relatively safe.

Around here a used dana 44 from a 78 to 79 f150/ bronco runs around $150. When I did the sas on my 94 f150 (pics in my gallery) I ended up spending around $1000 but that was with new bearings, ball joints tie rods and drag link. I ended up with around 11 inches of lift. I already had the tires- 40 ground hawgs, and I built my lift to clear them without using a body lift. There are some good threads in the offroad forum that helped me out alot through my sas. If you have any more questions just yell.

i'm just throwin this out there as an option, what if ya sell yours + bought a 78-79 bronco + build that? or find one with a bad body + motor, or just the frame + runnin gear + swap out your body + parts? if its the body of yours you like ? it would cut down on fab work i would think? combine the two + youd have the best of both worlds! like i said its just a thought

I would hate to chop up a 78-79 Bronco, that would be too painful. It sounds good, but 78-79 Broncs are hard to find here. I may look for a 4x 150 to grab parts.
I might end up fixing a beater 150, and it would be a never ending cycle. Sound familiar?
A cheap Dana 44 would be ideal, and 150.00 would be great, I'll let you know.

Its ok. Pics of my truck are in my gallery. I was supposed to take a couple of pics of a shifter for 79-400-power and it kept slipping my mind.
