Squelin like a pig!!
I took a 1998' f150 xl for a test drive today..The dealership is a certifited ford dealer in the Buffalo,N.Y. area..The thing was a sweet ride..Lots of pickup..It didnt pulled to either side when i was driving it..The only thing was everytime i punched it a lil bit..i could hear a squeling noise coming from the front end..I thought it was a belt..And the Tech at the dealership agreed..But they are there to sell Trucks..Ya know..But if anybody has any idea's for me..And thinks it could be something different..That would be much apperciated..Thanks..

tell them to put a new belt on it and wipe off the pulleys with soapy water first-- try that.

Yeah that happens to me but occasionaly its annoying and make it sound like **** i think its when it gets wet like after rain or its cold thats when it happened to me but it goes away after

Mine did the same thing, turned out it was the alternator going out (making the belt squeal, but only during high RPM and high load). Not sure if it's the same problem, just wanted to throw that out.
