In Minnesota all gas is at least 10% ethanol, has been for years, no problems. I have run up to 50% in my 99 v-10 with no problems.

It's been 10% here in Colorado for sometime too. It started out as a Winterblend, but we still got straight gasoline in the summer, maybe 1996? Then they just ran the crap year round with MTBE, and now it's all ethanol.

It certainly isn't cost effective, given 85 octane goes for $3.35 here and E85 is about $2.79.

I would consider retroffiting, or in the least replace rubber hoses annually if the price was around $1.75-2.25.

For those interested in running alcohol

If you want to know about running alcohol, here is a good writeup on it. It is from a Volvo forum, but they go into turbos and alcohol. Lots of good info. http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=73061&highlight=maximum+boost

I think that's correct.

Silly me. I thought I could get all the oxygen I needed for free. Turns out I have to pay for it.

Yes, I'm being sarcastic. This whole oxygenated fuel idea is so stupid. Just sell me straight gas. I'll get my own oxygen.
