By accident today I broke the turn signal lever off ( I know dumb, dumb, dumb). Has anyone else done this or have had to replace one? How much of a job is it to replace it? Did you buy a new one or used? What years will fit? What was the cost? Is their a good manual to use to help out. Really need some help.
Can you "J B weld " it back together ? Rough it up with corse sand paper & re-inforce it with a formed plate on the sides . Leave it set over nite ,sand & paint it . Amazing stuff.
They repair cracked crankshaft webbing in aircraft engines with it .
Just let us know what airline so as I can change flights before that s@#$ comes off the crankshaft webbing, cause I have no confidance in that being an FAA certified repair!
If its anything like a GM signal arm they just pull out like a carrot out of the ground, couple little wiring connections later its off. Now dont go yanking on anything till someone else confirms if its the same!

It is a 2002 F350 SD CC PSD DUALLY. It is broke right up next to where it goes in the colume cover where the lever attaches to the swetch. The piece of the switch that moves up and down is still OK.It did not break the wires. Turn signals, Headlight dimmer both work by using a screwdriver wedged in it. The Wiper and Washer switch on the lever still operate thanks to the wires not breaking.
You can not pull the lever out like you can on a GM. When it breaks it's broke and you have to put a new multi-function switch on, basic part numbner 13k359.

Thanks in advance
Right there is justification why sometimes guys need to leave the wife at home. Hope you get it fixed okay!
From what mechanics have told me, it isn't real hard to replace the multifunction switch. The dealership charged 30 minutes labor for it, which was minimum charge in that shop.
Just remove the ignition cylinder, pull the upper & lower steering column covers, and there are usually 2 torx head screws that hold the switch to the column. It usually takes more time to pull the wire harness connectors than it does to replace the switch
I had to replace the multi function switch in my 00 F-650..IIRC..it was about 60 bucks,,took the cover off the steering colum, a couple of screws held the unit in, popped right out...took about 10-15 min....
