EEC or no EEC
I have a 75 F-100 that I am going to replace the fuel tank in. My problem is the new tank I got is not set up for EEC. Can I still use this tank? or should I take it back and get another that is set up for EEC. My truck has the vent line and cannister but it is not hooked up to anything on the engine. Engine is a stock 390, no EGR Valve, cannister goes to nothing, no catalytic converter.

If you were to repair the EEC system (quite a few components are missing...), I'd take it back. Without the vent on top, you will create vacuum...not good.
if you were to remove all emissions equipment, you can use the tank as it is and not worry about the hole. If you are going this route, make sure you buy a *VENTED* gas cap.
