I've been having some problems lately shifting. After the truck warms up, third and fourth are difficult to select. I also noticed that my clutch engage point is about 3" off the floor. Alittle lower than when cold. I've changed the fluid, no help. I use Mobil 1 synthetic ATF fluid. I know I have 300k(almost) on the truck, hopefully it isn't the tranny going up. Any suggestions??
what about the Clutch, whan did you replace it, and might sound like your pressure plate is going out, maybe guys with manual will be more help, but i bet on the Clutch,
i'm thinking its probably the hydraulics but since we're on this subject i have close to the same problem but its only if the engines at/or above 2500rpm i have problems shifting all gears and the clutch will only disenage when pushed to the floor and will reenage about as soon as you let up my truck only has 110000 miles on it

Could still be the hydraulics, but if the pick up point is changing the shift fork may be bending.
If the fork does bend to the point of breakage it can take out the whole enchilada. It happened to a friend of mine. Yes, you are in for some money. If the clutch is ok then you can get away with about 200 to 250 in parts for a NEW KEVLAR PILOT BUSHING, new fork, and new master/slave pre bled unit. If you need a new clutch you can expect another 600 for a LUK or South Bend.
