2000 5.4L performance increase question
I have 9,000 miles on a 2000 Extended Cab F150 4X4 with a 5.4L and 3.55 limited slip and searching for performance upgrades. I don't have alot of money for upgrades. Below are my choices I have found, but I am requesting advice for the best immediate improvement.
K&N filter = approx. $45.00
K&N filter kit = approx. $200.00
Flowmaster cat-back = approx. $330.00
Superchip = approx. $225.00
Diablo chip = approx. $225.00
Hypertech = ??

2000 5.4L performance increase question
In my humble opinion, you should be saving your money for the repairs you'll need when the warranty runs out.
Problems are much easier to diagnose when everything is stock and performing as it was designed to. I've seen some guys really screw up their cars and trucks by trying to "improve" upon the original design. Unless you are really prepared to make this a full time job, I would just stick to regular maintenance and keeping it clean.
