Parked the truck as normal and this morning the key will not turn...works in the door lock....moved the steering wheel and shift leaver.....nothing seems to want to turn.....do not want to force it so I will search the site for an answer.....but if anyone has a clue please feel free to steer me in the right direction. I do have a haynes manual and can change the whole switch out if need be but I just need to know if that is required. Thanks!!
BTW.....ITS A BOY tuesday morning 6:53 am Douglas Oliver Spurway joined ford lovers!!!! Mom and Oliver are doing fine and I am thru the roof!!
Well first off, congrats are in order! Glad everyone is doing well.
As for the ignition problem......is your steering wheel in the locked position? I find that sometimes it is difficult to turn the ignition key IF the steering wheel has been put into the locked position AFTER the engine has been turned off. If so, try putting some pressure on the steering wheel either to the left or right while trying to turn the key.
Tried all ways to get it to turn up down left right nothing works. one ford tech said it was going to have to be drilled out...thats nutz....it is a programable ingnition with a chip in the key and the locksmith says...big bill....anyone know what the hell?
