1999 Crown Vic keyless entry pad
My CV's keyless pad must have a short. When it rains it will cycle the headlights on and off if I leave them in the timed shut down mode. Are these things that difficult to replace? Can anyone point me to directions as to how it is done? This is an amazing site. I found directions on how to program my two new remotes. Thanks in advance for any and all help. Rick

A new keyless entry pad will run you around $88 from the dealer, it is held in by a clip at the front edge of the pad. The hardest part is getting to the clip, remove door panel, leave window up, unplug old keyless entry pad, pull clip (looks like the clips that hold the key cylinders in older cars) and remove the pad from outside of door. Its not bad if you have small hands/arms but most of us don't so good luck.
