PSD question for Ken.

OK, Ken

I got rid of my Hypertech 3 for my '99 PSD because it caused my truck to run rough, made no low and midrange pwr, smoked alot, and was sort of on the weak side hp wise.

I'm interested in a chip. Probably the Delta Diablo. My goals are:
1.) more pwr
2.) better fuel economy or at least equal
3.) corrected speedo to deal w/ my oversize tires (35's)
4.) no huge plumes of black smoke when I'm on the throttle
5.) low thru top hp gains. especially low & mid
6.) no running rough (Banks claims it was because the programmer is
not computer chip specific)
7.) I can easily turn the chip off for dealer related repairs

What would you recommend? Are these realistic goals for a pwr module?

I would like to also add that that I rarely tow and currently have a turbo back exhaust, aftermarket airbox, and wastegate boost tube (homemade).

As always your insight and info are much appreciated.

>1.) more pwr

The Delta will definately give more than the Hypertech.

>2.) better fuel economy or at least equal

Should do that, but it varies by ECU code.

>3.) corrected speedo to deal w/ my oversize tires (35's)

You'll need to contact us directly when placing the order and we can do this.

>4.) no huge plumes of black smoke when I'm on the throttle

You'll get some smoke in the high (78HP) setting. No way to completely eliminate it.

>5.) low thru top hp gains. especially low & mid

You'll get that.

>6.) no running rough (Banks claims it was because the

What do you mean by rough running?

>7.) I can easily turn the chip off for dealer related
>repairs

Flip the chip to "stock".
