152K on engine...what perf mods can i do w/o killing auto tranny?

i want 4" turbo back exhaust
4 stage(stock---->110 hp) chip shift on the fly with pyro, boost, tranny guages
homemade tymar intake

will this hurt my tranny? i would think the intake and exhaust would be fine, but im in no position to be shelling out $$ for a new tranny..im trying to get the best mileage with the fuel prices soaring(and the extra pwr aint bad either)
thanks
Siyé

If you're worried about the tranny maybe you should upgrade the valves and springs before you get the chip. I'm sure one of these guys that has an auto can help you out with some recommendations.

Not being a wise guy, but if you do these mods, you will probably use more fuel.I find that I cant keep my right foot out of the pedal with my mods! lol

bender97f250 is right. After I got my Tymar air intake a couple of years ago I couldn't keep my foot out of it. That mod has been the worst for my mileage yet because I love to hear my turbo whine!

I agree with these fellas. It's definitely something you easily overlook..... any mods that you do to your rig you get sucked into running it harder for $***$ and giggles. But heck, isn't that what you're spending the money for in the first place?! I definitely can tell that my truck shifts firmer with my tuner's settings. I would think that the intake and exhaust would have the most beneficial and safer effects in terms of longevity, if you can moderate the rompin and stompin driving. The chip will turn out more HP's which will of course put more stress on your tranny.
