I took my truck into get new glow plugs installed at the international dealer because I don't really have the time to do things anymore.
When they re-installed the drivers side valve cover the mechanic thought he would for get a few things.
There is and oil vapour canister on the top with a 90 degrees hose, it is suppose to put the vapour back into............any guesses, I can't find what use to be connected to the hose. By the time the truck cools down enough to feel around the back of the motor it's to late at night. That how I have 500 k on it.

the hose goes back into the intake unless you have the CCV mod done. The intake has either a aluminum or black plastic housing that is bolted to a bracket. there is a nipple that sticks out the bottom and thats where the 90* hose goes.
I was sitting here typing my reply that i vaguley remember the nipple.......when the lights went off. The nipple is part of the intake hose, on the aluminum piece between the 2 rubber flex hoses. The mechanic put the vapor canistor back on 180 degrees wrong. My memory is getting to be toasted, too much stuff in the memory banks. Thank-you that was done in the fall and has been pissin me off since the weather got nice. I should have really clue in he wasn't smart when he tried to tell me I had to "time" my HPOP when I installed it. At the time I thought he was just trying to get me in the shop again to relieve me of some more money! Now I'm starting to think he really believes what he was saying. Now I only have 2 small problems to solve and I will be as happy a pig in..........you know what. the new HPOP is leaking from somewhere????? i have to find what i didn't get tight, the other is when I attempt to start the truck and it doesn't start the starter keeps cranking with the key off, I have a stack solenoids, in the garage, I have taken the ignition switch out of the equation. When the truck starts you would never know there is anything wrong with it.

Reason: fix spelling
Is there anything hooked up to or plugging the nipple in the aluminum center section? That nipple needs to either be pluggeg off or connected to the crank case vent. That's a direct source for dirty unfiltered air right through the turbo and into the engine. You gotta get that fixed before you wipe out the turbo wheel and dust the engine.
