Stock GT390/428CJ springs will work on that cam. No need for special springs and retainers. I've run a .526 lift with the GT/CJ springs. It's also got a wide LSA which would pick up the dynamic compression a bit over the stock cam, that would be a plus with an 8.5 to 1 motor.
