Do a search in this forum an youll find out...I personally dont like either one especially the Fabtech...poor craftsmanship all around. What are you looking to do with the truck? Do you just want it for looks or are you going to be going offroad...in which case will you be doing trails...desert runs....mudding...hill climbs...rock crawling or all of the above?

I would like to run 35s and with it I'll be doing mild offroading like for 2 weeks during moose hunting and the ocasional fun stuff. I thought Fabtech was the best of the best.
yeah i have big fabtech lift and it freakin rocks, i had a cheaper system first, and it sucked so bad i took it off and put the fabtech on, dont skimp on a suspension system, youll regret it later, i did! But the fabtech is awesome, you wont be dissappointed with it, its a great performer on and offroad, and personally i think the craftsmanship is pretty good, i have absolutly hamered mine, going through a set of monster woops and getting the front off the ground on the crest and bottoming out in the trough like 10 times in a row, and it came out of that perfect, the only thing wrong was the toe was off a little, but that doesnt have anything to do with the lift, so i love mine! get fabtech!
hey 73 f350 do you even know what your talking about did you have one, i personally love mine and yes its been offroad many of times
Yes for your information I do know what I'm talking about...Ive been into offroading and performance suspension since I was about 10 years old thank you very much. Ive owned several trucks with a variety of suspension lifts and have several friends that have as well from all aspects of offroading...not that I need to justify my knowledge base to you anyway.
Ive posted before about seeing what has happened to folks who have had issues with Fabtech and Pro comp setups failing while off road. Best example would be my buddy whos truck rolled over three times after the Pro comp spindle that he had on his Ranger failed.
Currently Im not running a lift on any of my trucks for the simple reason that I just purchased my newest truck recently and havent had the time or money to work on it because of school and a couple of restos that Im doing on my 73 F350 and my 72 Elky.
But when I do get the time and resources you can bet your bottom dollar that Im going to go with Camburg...which I have also posted about on here before.
There are much better companies than Fabtech and Pro Comp for certain...and an even wider variety of suspension setups...hence the reason I asked what the OP was going to be doing with the truck. Afterall thats the key...having the right tool or in this case suspension setup for the right job.
So in other words dont come onto the boards and try to bait people into fights and start things where they dont need to be started...that is NOT what this site is about. Not only that it sends threads
As for the topic that the OP was asking...one more question the link you gave was for 4wd is your truck 4wd or 2wd?

PS...The best suspension setup keeps you from bottoming out in the first place...bottoming out is never a good thing to have happen
Well,
Given the choice between the two of them...Fabtech and Rough Country the Fabtech is better...not the best...but better. I would do a little more legwork though and see what other setups shops around you offer before commiting one way or the other. You can also look into Superlift as an option as well...Ive heard better things about them than Rough Country. Skyjacker is another name out there but its basically the same as a Tough Country or Rough Country setup.
Like I said....do a little more legwork and find out what other setups you can find locally before you decide. The best setup will be one that maintains the stock geometry as closely as possible to keep things like CV joints from binding and when you are looking at shocks because you will need extended shocks depending on the ammount of lift the setup gives you...look into Bilstein...dont go with Ranchos or similar "white body" shocks. Just a heads up..let us know what you decide...and get some pics up if you can...we like lookin at pics...

Everything local is lots of money, Im in Canada. Out of the lifts they have for my truck, Fabtech, Skyjacker, Superlift, RCD and the Tough and Rough country setups...I found Fabtech to be the best for me, the RCD would be next for me but its only 4 inch on my supercrew.
