Tried to change my fuel filter out yesterday morning as it's long overdue to be replaced. However, I couldn't get the cap to move at all. I'm wondering if the heat from my intake spyder has somehow fused the gasket the the plastic and metal pieces? Any ideas on how to get the cap off without breaking the plastic?

They can be a bear to remove. Use a screw driver or another piece of metal that will span across the top and provide some leverage. You will need to remove the decorative cover to do this.
yeah, i've already done that. Used one of my gaint screwdrivers to get at it. Problem is I have intercooler pipes and the intake spyder in the way making things tighter than normal.
