powersteering pump pulley
I'm tryin' to find a 4-1/2" or there 'bouts 1/2" or wide or wider steel pulley for a '73 F250 power steering pump. The old one is 5-3/4 and takes like a 7/16" wide belt. This is the press on type. Are there any Steel (not aluminum billet stuff) aftermarket cheap PS pulleys available? bjr23

Are you trying to convert to a serpentine belt or do you just need extra V channels?
Zoops, March, and TransDapt come to mind right off, but they are all going to be aluminum. For steel, your probably going to have to check with companies like LMC or year one.

I finally ended up buying a generic stamped steel pulley from a tractor supply store. The new pulley is 1/2" hole and needs to be approximately 11/16 so I'm having machine work done. Bore out hole and cut slot on front of hub for puller grip. Hole has to be fit for press fit and slot is required to remove pulley from pump at future time. Also, replaced alternator pulley with wider one to get all pulleys the same width. Probably wind up putting more money into the thing than it's worth but at least it'll get done. I Just thought maybe some aftermarket offroad type people may make some different size pulleys. Oh and it's for a vee belt and what I'm doing is putting a ford power steerinp pump on a 430 case ag/utility tractor with front end loader as there were no replacement power steering pumps available under $475. Right now I got 3 tractors and no money. bjr23
