I have a 2000 F250 SD 4x4 7.3 My ac has defaulted to defrost only. I have replaced the 12v vacuum pump and checked all the vacuum hoses and connections. Still cant get to work. I'm sure I have a vacuum leak somewhere but can't find it. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!!

Got ESOF?
Usually it's a vacuum leak at the front hubs. Try plugging the line that goes to the wheels and see if the climate control starts to respond. If that is the case follow the hose and use a process of trial and error to find the offending leak.
Coming off the pump is a 4 inch line that hits the reservoir. Next to it is the line leaving the reservoir which hits a tee. The tee branches one way to the cabin to control your vents and another way to the ESOF hublock solenoid. The solenoid simply passes the vacuum from the red line to the black line whenever you have the ESOF system in 4x4 mode. Your leak could be in the hubs, the lines to the hubs, or even the solenoid itself. (My leak was the solenoid)
Pull the rubber vacuum line connector off the solenoid (mounted next to pump & reservoir) and plug the hole to the red line. Turn the key and let the pump fill the reservoir. It might take a few minutes - be patient - but hopefully the pump will turn off on its own. If it doesn't, your reservoir might be leaking. If it does, then the leak is definitely in the ESOF equipment. You can determine where the leak is by plugging lines and/orr connecting the lines in logical configurations to eliminate potential leak sources. (i.e. maybe take the line that runs to the cabin and connect it to the line that feeds the hubs, etc...)
Good luck with it. Please post any further questions. Maybe keep your old pump as a spare....
Thanks guys, found both vacuum lines cracked where they go into the hub area at the wheels. All works good now, abd just in time, going to 91 today. Thanks again for all your help....
