I would research 99-00 5.4 headgasket issue before making such a statement. I realize you stated YOUR truck has never blown a headgasket. I've changed 2 sets on my 99 F150......and I'm not the only one who has had to change theirs on a 5.4.

Ever since the government bailout, ya know the one that only ford, out of the big three, didn't take, i've called them Government Motors!

And if good ole "Government Motors" would have folded....what shape would have the good ole US of A's economy would have been in? Call it a bailout or what you will....there was no choice.

Hey did you guys hear about GM moving to china... Like i love to rag on GM but still they should stay here in the U.S, like come on you ask why we have no jobs.

Its just speculation that GM would have folded without the bailout. The Bailout should have never happened IMO. We have bankruptcy for a reason, which GM ended up filing for anyway. GM played the gooberment and ultimatly the US taxpayer because they knew uncle Sam would come to the rescue and try to fix their stupidity with other peoples money. BTW the US economy is still in the crapper, regardless of what the geniuses in DC and NYC try to sell the people.

GM is also selling a lot of vehicles in China and expect growth in India to continue as well. Ford is planning to build a brand new plant in India. If the UAW would go away and the restrictions/regulations on the local, state and federal level would go down or stabilize you may actually see some auto manufacturing come back to the states. Even then you would still have to manufacturer cars overseas. You can't make a car in the US paying US wages and benefits that sells in India for $7k.
