7.3 no gauges or throttle

A friend of mine has a 2002 7.3. He has no gauges or throttle. we thought that it was the wires in the gear shifter. We checked that. No broken wires. What else could it be? Please help.

gear shift has been replaced. Dealership is checking wiring harness. Truck has also been experiencing battery drain.

Just got word back from the stealership. The complete fuse box is fried along with all of the relays. Still no word on cost. I wonder what could cause the complete fuse box faliure.

Talking Pedal Assy & Dash

Please check the bottom row of(red) 10 amp fuses. your looking for the 4th one on the bottm from the right. This is your Gas Pedal and dash cluster. If that fuse is blown replace and drive if it blowes again you need a new Pedal Assy(apporx $ 140. from your local Ford dealer).

We have an 02 here at work that blows that fuse every time you put it in reverse while coasting forward. and ONLY under that exact circumstance. If you come to a complete stop and put it in reverse, no problem, but coast just a little and put it in R and its blown..........
