air conditioning blowing sponge bits
Help!!! this is a new one on me,turned my a/c on the other day and got attacked by a million pieces of little sponges and dirt. Did my air conditioning filter just desintigrate??<spelling>.Can i replace it? also the airconditiong vent on the drivers side by the door lost a few of the horizontal air diverters can the vent be replaced or do i have to buy a whole new dash?? the vent looks like its a solid piece of plastic with the dash....
Any help would be appreciated the truck is a 2001 king cab edge with 4.0 and auto

So that's where SpongeBob was hiding! 
Some of the pieces of the HVAC system, including the vents you talk about, have sponge-type insulation like that. Maybe it's breaking down and bits are breaking off and getting blown out through the vents.

Dont think yall will believe this one but went out to the truck to head to the fire station on a call and like i said the a/c vent on the drivers side is messed up and what ran across the dash and down the vent but a little damn mouse grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr was i P***ed everything i do to keep my truck in awesome condition and a damn jerry mouse is living in my air conditioning ducts.guess that what happen to the sponge seals soo put a round mouse trap on the dash and some peanut butter as a trap and we will see what happens in the morning......I moveed to the country to get away from the city and love the wildlife that comes through my yard but this is insane

guess so went out and put 2 round traps no see no touch type,no splatter type so hopefully the peanut butter will lurer it into the trap and splat. then wont have to worry bout the little critter scarring the bejezus out of my nieces or daughters all hate mice and are under 7!!!!!!LOL
