I am new to the ranger department I just bought a 1994 ford ranger with a 3.0L 6 4x4 with 60,000 and i was wondering if anyone knew if the bolt pattern was the same as a 94 f-150 with the 300 6 in it I would also like to know if there are ne bugs i need to look for in these trucks

bolt pattern on the ranger is 5 on 4-1/2, the F150 is a 5 on 5-1/2. you didnt say which trans you have, the manual has potential for shift-rail plug leakage, keep a eye on fluid level. if you have auto hubs, they sometimes will give you problems. the 3.0 motor is a good, long-life engine, its only fault is that it makes its power higher in the rpm powerband, gotta wind the squirells out of it a bit. low gearing helps (4.10 preferably) some have had trouble with the shift motor on the electric-shift transfer case. mine has had no problem there. for the most part, keep it maintained it it will last longer than you may want it to.
