Hot Shots's Secret

Well I bit the bullet today and bought a bottle of it. I have been noticing slightly louder injectors and a bit of a miss. I will give it a try and let you know what happens.

This must be some sort of additive? Do you dump it in the fuel tank like Stanadyne or Diesel Kleen?

PLEASE report back, my injectors are getting a bit havocy and if it works for you im going to try it. 60$ is better than 300$ per inj. I think it goes in the oil instead of the fuel.

FYI you can get NEW, not rebuilt injectors for $200/EA plus core charge.

I bought mine at Gomers diesel, but I found at least 2 or 3 that will sell you new Alliant Power injectors for that price.

Well I am one of those people who if I can replace it with something better I can't see putting stock injectors back in. If I have a problem I am going to put in some performance injectors. I am going to try the Hot Shot's and then if that doesn't work I will do a BG Injection service. I have no problem spending $50 if I know it will clean all those little passages even if it doesn't fix my injectors.

I'm with Jake - stock will work just fine for me, but when I do need new ones, I'll upgrade to single shots - nothing major, but for the money I think it'd be silly for me to stay stock - of course, for the money you're talking, you're 1/2 way to a Cummins 5.9....

Papa, now there you go and hurt NYX's feelings. talking about that other motor.
Give ol' Nyx some bigger sticks when the time comes, and then let him get out and run.

I'm in the process of trying the product myself. I added it with a fresh change of oil about 100 miles ago. The trip down to BTS this weekend should give it enough time to work, if it's going to do anything. My injectors weren't giving me any trouble that I knew of - a little loud at idle, but nothing major. I figured though with almost 170K on the stock sticks, a little internal cleaning might not hurt and I could find some power that I didn't know I had lost.

I ordered it and put 2000 miles on my truck so far, used fresh oil when I added it too. I noticed a difference in about 100 miles, it quited my truck about as much as the SS HPX. It was $50 well spent.

Sounds like something that might be good to run in every 4th or 5th oil change.... hmmmm... I'd say that y'all cost me a ton of money, but in the long run I know it's saving me.... at least, that's what i keep telling myself!!
