I have a 01 F350 CCLB 4x4 with 144,000 miles on it. When I put it in reverse it goes fine. When I am on a hill and maybe in a little soft gravel, it barely wants to move. The engine does not even rev up. Is this normal, or do I have a issue here. On dry level pavement, there is no issue. Just no guts at all when there is slight resistance going in reverse.
One of the main issues with the transmissions in these trucks is the rediculously stupid high gear ratios in First and Reverse gears. They're barely 2.5:1. Not much torque multiplication there.
