I am thinking of building my 289 with an edelbrock top end kit. I am just wounderning if anyone has any first hand experence with this kit. quality? more power? worth the money? over all opinion? link http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...0002_541306_-1
Those high-hp top-end kits from Edelbrock are for lighter vehicles/cars and don't make good power until you get up in higher RPMs. You might be better off with the idle-5500 kits, especially if this is in a truck. Here's a PDF from Edelbrock's website. Find your engine and it tells you what parts match up.
I'm going with the performer kit for my 351, and while the HP numbers aren't as high on paper as the RPM kits, you get better power at a lower rpm.<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>
