2003 Escape battery

2003 Escape battery
Hello all:
I was away yesterday and the wife took the 03 Escape in for an oil change..still the original battery I believe, wife told me that the tech told her we will need a new battery soon....
I asked my wife exactly what he said, my wife told me "the guy the battery should go to 400 and it only goes to 300" What the heck does that mean? I know the Cold Cranking Amps should be 590, my wife said the tech said we should get through the summer with the warmer weather...any ideas as to what he meant? I'm going on a trip about 200 miles away on Tuesday and don't want to get stranded.
