LineX gets done tomorrow morning.
My first spray in liner..
Anything I should tell the installers that I want or dont want done?
Any other suggestions?
You should be all set.I have no complaints with my Line-X.I asked quite a few questions before I had mine done.My main concerns were if they were going to remove the bolts from the bed and screws on the tailgate handle access plate and they did.I also wondered if they removed the bedrail caps, they don't.They tape them off,I guess they are a real PITA to remove.
I'm glad I got mine done.I wish I could have got it a little cheaper,oh well that's life.
Thanks Nassty,
Gonna make sure I ask about the bed bolts and tailgate bolts.
Assuming I have a tonneau cover on, Can I ask how does the liner hold up to pitching in a rake or shovel and having it land tips down?
How easy are they to tear or gouge?

I don't think just tossing it in there would do any damage.I don't use my bed too often so I don't have any chips or scratches yet.The only Line-X I've seen with any damage was caused by a snowmobile with about 150 carbide studs in the track. Those will tear up anything on a 500 lb sled with 130hp.
I just had mine done the day after I got my truck. All the bolts were removed and then sprayed. The tailgate protector was not. The job came out great.
I had mine done through the dealership before I picked up the truck and glad I did. Just hauled a sod cutter and then two loads of top soil that was loaded and unloaded by shovel. You will have no worries tossing a rake or shovel onto the bed liner. This stuff is rugged. My bed and tailgate bolts were removed by the LineX shop prior to them spraying the liner. A much cleaner look in my opinion that shooting the bed and tailgate bolts.
WE USE LINEX EXCLUSIVELY FOR OUR SPRAY IN BEDLINERS...ALTHOUGH THERE ARE BOTH A RHINO AND A GENERIC DEALER CLOSER AND CHEAPER...MUCH NEATER APPLICATION...WE'VE NEVER HAD THE OVERSPRAY PROBLEMS THAT WE HAVE HAD WITH THE RHINO AND THE GENERIC.
I recently bought a used F350 and I want to get the bed Line-X'd. There is the slightest amount of rust in a couple spots on the bed. Does anyone know if they typically take care of that? If so, do they do a good job? I am wondering if I should leave it to them or have someone (a body shop) do it before having the bed Line-X'd.
If it's surface rust, no problem, the dealer can remove it and most likely won't even charge you anything. If it's deep rust, the that's an entire different story.
Generally, it takes about 3 hours to apply a LINE-X bedliner. If you want LINE-X Xtra, add another hour or so.
LINE-X Xtra color match in Charcoal Beige. The white specs are sun reflections :
