I've got an '05 f350 that needs real floor mats - not the carpet things that came stock. Where can I find some that look cool and fit?
All the mats at local autoparts stores, WalMart, etc. have great looking, functional floor mats with Ford printed on them but they are rectangular and don't fit ... especially on the passenger side.
For custum fitted floor mats, look towards Nifty products, WeatherTech and husky liner.
I would choose either the weathertech or niftys, infact I did. I have the older style front all weathers, but I want to get the new floor liners for the front. I have a Catchall in the rear. Nifty is available in both carpeted and rubber.
But I should mention, none of these are in the walmart price range. Expect to pay between $80 and $140 a pair for any of these.
I have both the Husky and Nifty floor liners and like them both. I run the Huskys from Nov-Apr, and then the Niftys May-Oct. The Niftys look nicer, but the Huskys handle the ice/snow/mud better during hunting season/winter.
I have the Catch-All type of mats with rubber. They fit perfectly and are model specific for whatever you have. I personally bought some cloth cheapie ones to sit on top of the Catch-all ones for whenever I'm not wheeling/mudding. The rubber type don't exactly look "fancy" haha.....but they will keep whatever you throw/spill/spew at them away from your carpet!
I went with the WeatherTech molded front mats. I like them a lot...and they do protect the carpet 100%, but they can get slippery when wet. I also added the back floormat for my SD SC...and it fits well. Actually...it is not so slippery as the front.
The trail gear II appears to be the Nifty Catch all extremes, which don't get that good of reviews from what I have seen before. The regular Nifty Catch Alls are what I have and like.
I like the Husky's better than the weathertechs because they keep all the water/mud/snow/etc in the little trough at the side. The weathertechs let it drain onto the doorsill, and from there it can either drain out the door, or run over to the carpet. You just have to remember to stick a towel down in the huskys every now and then to sop it up. Otherwise it will eventually fill up enough to overflow when you accelerate hard.
There are pictures of the huskys in my gallery. I'll eventually post pics of the catch all's there too but I haven't got around to it.

I had the original Trail gear mats in my F150 for the last 3 years. They worked fine, but there was no place for the stuff to go, when you remove the mats the anchors leave big holes in the carpet, the little trim caps pop off all the time and disappear and the mats pop free from the anchors often. The TG II mats do not use the anchors, but are so well fitting that they don't move. I'm pleased with mine so far. YMMV
