It is a relay that is located under the dash. On the PS side of the ash tray. This is om my '85F150, 4.9L, 1bbl carb, C6 Automatic, 4X2, w/ AC.
Does this relay have anything to do with the computer?

Here's the only relay I found with a 12A6xx basic number: ECC Relay ~ marked: E47F-12A646-A1A
Actual Ford part number: E4TZ-12A646-A (Motorcraft DY-443)
NOTE: Anything fuel related will have a Ford basic part number beginning with 9. The fuel related group in the parts catalogs is 9000.

Thanks for replying everybody. I unplugged the relay and found that the gauges and blower motor will not work. The reason I posted is that there is a crackling sound coming from the relay. This has happened once before as the result of a short. So I am leaning towards the idea that There is another short. I am pretty clueless when it comes to troubleshooting electrical problems, so it is time to bring the truck to the shop.
