Tragedy Tonight !!!!!

Went and got my Mom earlier today, took her garage sailing.I found a New Old Stock "in the box" starter switch for the ford 302 starter...U.S. Made. I also found a Flex-A-Lite radiator fan,the stainless bladed type,SB Ford. paid five bucks for the whole mess. Came home and showed the tresures to the wife, she couldn't cared less. Right away I get out one of my shop rags and started to clean this fan up,it wasn't but seconds and I darn near cut my right pinky finger off, running it across one of the blades on that fan.Tragedy!!!!. There is something diffrent about a serious cut,and you know instantly that your screwed, even before you look at the cut.Everybody who comes to this site, who reads this, probably has experienced this.Awful...Alpo23,Very inspiring words from you and I thank you. I am looking foward to the day my Bronc is rolling and I know it will all be worth while.Ivstang, a good portion of what you said about your motor is Greek to me.But, I was wondering about lenghting "stock" radius arms. I know this is for better articulation, but how is it done with out paying $$$ for custom Radius arms? Also ivstang, did you do the work to bring your metel bodied bronco into mint condition? I also Despise fiber. Ivstang,a short brief from you on just about anything Bronco related would be much appreciated. "Flipper" had a really interesting Post about His Blanked Off Dana 44 front end.I actually spent some time trying to locate one.I believe that Flipper has a Stock Dana 44 with owner installed auto-locking-hubs that may or may not work.Flipper should look to determine if there is some other way, maybe electrical or vacuum actuated means of engaging the hubs with or with out manually locking them in. I think,Flipper, just engaging your 4x4 x-fer case and the rotation of your foward drive shaft may also lock in a pair of auto-locking-hubs.Ivstang probably knows more.Mark

Dude that sucks!!! What was the outcome? Stitches? Amputation?? Surgical reconnection???

On my radius arms I used 6" chrome moly adapters that one end slipped over the existing radius arm threads. I notched a big v in the adapter on the horizontal plane and welded the HELL out of it!! The open end is threaded(female) and allows me to use a 7/8" threaded rod end/heim joint(male). The new brackets off the frame are 1/4" steel plate that will be boxed on 3 sides when done. I will probably take it to a local race shop for the final assembly to insure some semblance of correct geometry.

After doing all this, James Duff came out with a kit that uses pre-fabbed radius arms!!! Oh well, a day late and a dollar short!!

My motor is basically a mildly modified late model Mustang set up. It would have 245 horsepower in a '93 Cobra. I used a few tricks like putting in the pistons backwards(I'll explain if you want) a more aggressive cam and the heads are breathed on. It will have no smog(cats) so I'm expecting 320 flywheel horsepower.

Don't get too pissed but I've got 2 steel Bronco bodies. The second one has MINIMAL rust. I don't have the fenders for that one though. While getting harder, rust free bodies aren't that hard to find in the S.West.

Take care of the finger!!
