Posted some pictures of the powder coated parts and the 11" disk brake kit fitted up. Also the wire wheels from the Mark. I think they look great.

Heidts says for a 302 and not racing just driving no problems. I said I would like to spin a little once in awhile but still no problem. I am putting the Mark VII rear end also so I hope to get decent milage as well

I had a local guy here in Winamac, In do it. He charged me $200 for everything. Most places piece it out. $35 for each upper and lower arm $35 each spring. See where I'm going here don't you. I was very happy with price. Time wise he has a tire shop and so you get it when he gets to it. I was in no hurry as I am just getting this started. Once I get the rear end in and all mocked up with no more welding or drilling I'm taking it alll apart for the frame. I'm sure that will take him awhile. I would like to have it running by Thanksgiving.

We pulled the motor out of the Mark today and I have stripped it down so we can hang it in place to mark up the motor mounts and trans mount tomorrow night. Once we get that done I will put the engine on the engine stand. Not going with the throtle body. I think I will put a 650 carb on it.

Is this a 302? If so, don't put a 650 carb on it. Throttle response and mileage will be better with something in the area of 500 cfm...600 cfm would be absolute max unless the engine is highly modified.
I am only going to take off what I need to clean it up. I have a 600 on my 56 Merc that I was considering replacing with the orginal, now that I know what the problem was with it. Thanks for the info on the carb. I want a daily driver that will be peppy but still get decent milage. I am using the Mark rear also so hopeng for something good after all this.
