2007 Escape Sat Rad Install

2007 Escape Sat Rad Install
I ordered the factory ford sirius sat rad add on kit. However, the instructions are BAD.
The main harness plugs in to the back of the radio. so thats easy. The add on harness then splits into 2 harnesses. 1 goes to the sat rad box under the seat. The other is never mentioned. I called a ford house and was told that was only for another accessory and I should just hide it.
So I did and now it doesnt work.
The sat rad info comes up on the radio and I can change channels and everything, but I get no sound at all.
On FM or CD I get sound but as soon as a hit Sat no more sound.
Anyone help? Maybe this other wire needs to go somewhere?
