Ok another question will a 4.10 set work in my 3.73 housing? Im takin the 70 out of the crew and want to put a 4.10 in it and slap it under the 78 so ill have a 60 front and 70 rear. figured itd be a lil stonger.

All new seals, and IMO, all new bearings. Inspect the spider and axle gears for wear. And....if you've never done this before..you better use a shop manual..because you have to set the lash on the R&P. You just don't bolt everything together.

Yeah i know about the lash and stuff. I know what needs to be done lol but dont know how on alot of it. Theres a guy down the road that builds drag cars so when i do this im gonna see if he can help.
