Power window help!?!?!

Power window help!?!?!
2005 F150 FX4 Supercrew
So... my drunken friend worked some magic on my driver's side rear window, and now it doesn't work anymore! My roomate and I took apart the door to investigate and found that the steel cable is all jacked up and tangled, and the clip that holds some of that together is damaged. Is there any way to replace or repair the window without taking it to the dealer? I've already been quoted close to $400 dollars for the repairs - and my wallet is very much fighting that prospect! Any help is good help, thanks!

I would actually take the dr panel back off and take that pwr window assembly out and lay it out flat to see what can be salvaged/fixed. The (complete) unit should be held in by 6 or so bolts.
If it turns out you need the complete assembly...I'd check the Site sponsors... maybe they can cut you a better break than the dealer (w/servicing fees).
