hey everyone!! i was just wondering if there is a programmer for my truck out there... i don't think there is but it is a 95 f350 460 5 speed 4x4 reg cab long bed with long tube headers k&n intake catco hi flo and a force muffler 3 inch all the way back. i look under the dash to see if it had a obd port or whatever there called and i couldn't find one.. thanks
A 95 should have one. I'm not sure OBD I or II, as this was around the year that most auto makers made the switch from one to the other. If it's OBD I then all you're gonna get is maybe chips being made for it, and you can pull out your chip and place the tuned one in. If it's OBD II, then you might find a flash tuner for it, but these didn't come around for a while. Somebody else will likely know more than me.
the heavier trucks may be different, too. My 97 F250 HD doesn't have OBDII - I heard the guy say "EEC" or something when I had to take it to DEQ for emissions. But the non-HD models DO have OBDII. I think. Who knows. I'm a lot of help, huh?
eec= electronic engine control... you probably have an eec iv or v- thats the model number. obd-ii is the computer's reference port- its still an eec wether its obd 1 or obd 2
