Ball joints at 58K?
I was going to install camber bushings on my 99 4x4 this weekend and I was very suprised when I jacked it up today and pulled on the wheel.
Ball joints!
Is 58k the lifespan of these parts?

Yes, it is probably time. Ford idiot engineers decided to put non-greasable ball joints in. So yes a lot of people have to replace then as soon as 40,000 miles. I replaced mine at 60,000. Just make sure you put in greasable ones this time.

Knuckle seals and O-rings are still dealer only. Advanced and Zone offer lifetime warr. on ball joints and free loaner tools to install them. In the forum is a great step by step write up on installing ball joints.

They want $315 for the 4 seals ONLY.
